Infinity Kingdom | Interview with Rezixx , Inter-Regional Group A Champion

Hello there, Manny here! Today I bring you a short interview with Rezixx, Inter-Regional Group A Champion and, I'm proud to say, my Alliance Leader and Friend :) In this article I'll be covering some points regarding his fight preparation, his teams and how he feels about them. First we will introduce him and his team and then we dive into the questions! First, let me introduce Rezixx.

From playing with him for about 7 months, in server 31 where we are both original from, Rezixx is a very dedicated player that dives deep into the games theorycrafting and is always tinkering with his marches to get the best outcome. He is a great leader, a great player and a fierce competitor.

INTERVIEW WITH REZIXX: Question 1 : How hard is it to optimise 3 marches, with 12 immortals and 36 skills?

Rezixx - It is quite difficult to optimise skills for three marches due to the limited number of skills available to us at the moment, especially at the beginning. But this definitely gets easier with practice. You are regularly forced to change up your skills frequently due to competent opponents countering you. Generally you would want each march to have a good balance of offensive and defensive skills to ensure good outcomes.

Question 2: How important is adjusting your Immortals position?

Rezixx - Readjusting your immortal positions can be quite important and result in much better outcomes in a battle. For example it may be your strategy to position a defensive immortal in front of an attack immortal as defensive immortals typically have higher physical defence and therefore able to withstand more damage.

Question 3: How important is adjusting your march order?

Rezixx - Adjusting march order is also important to be able to better counter your opponent’s marches. It is not always the case that any one of your marches will be able to win all of your opponent’s matches.

Question 4: How do you test your setup? How often do you look at battle reports?

Rezixx - I usually test my marches in arena and during pvp events, and sometimes between alliance members to see what works best for me. I review my battle reports very frequently to try and figure out why I am doing well or not doing well. It is important to watch the actual battles to be able to have a better sense of how the fight plays out.

Question 5: For each of your marches, which Immortals do you consider the MVPs?

Rezixx - Well sometimes there is no clear MVP but I like Himiko as her ultimate skill puts an enemy backline immortal into a void, resulting in the enemy immortal not being able to act. Charles also mitigates a lot of damage with his ultimate skill which places a shield over your entire team. I think Baldwin is a really good mage due to his high burst damage and his debuff which increases the amount of magical damage that enemy immortals receive.

Question 6 : What is the most satisfying moment in a fight?

Rezixx -Most satisfying moment in a fight is when you finally make an enemy go ‘poof’ as this usually means that you have dominated your enemy. Question 7: Regarding the game in general, what was your most memorable experience? Rezixx- One of the best moments for me in the game was my alliance’s unexpected victory against server 11 - BxS, who are one of the most successful IB teams in the game at the moment. It is much more difficult to achieve success as a team (as compared to individual success) so this was a great win and the guys deserved it for bringing their A game. Shoutout to Jezstar and his team for the fun match and I’m sure they already have a plan to beat us the next time we meet.
