I'm sure you've read all the sweet (and extense) content there's been shared by IK Official sources and also the posts that we, the press officers, have released.
KvK is knocking and we have to be prepared!
General Preparation
If you've been reading patch notes and content about Legion of the Frostborne, you will know one thing in particular is needed.
This item is "Random Teleport". "Random Teleport" is the currency to get out of the KvK Map and back to the main Continent. Each time you do so, one Random TP will be consumed.
You should be looking to have a good stock of training , healing speedups and a nice stache of RSS Tokens. Fights might be intense and last for longer times. Having the resources and speedups to keep fighting is key.
Another crucial aspect is Peace. You don't want to be fighting a War in two fronts. So having peace within your home continent is a critical aspect. Plus, not only is peace required but also establishing a good relation with the alliances in your home server that will be actively participating in KvK. Each server will fight together - KvK is not the time for torn servers and resentment.
KvK Strategy Preparation
The servers have been matched and the corresponding starting positions have been assigned.
These starting positions are super important. They determine against who you might be fighting right after the check points open. Based on this information, every Alliance should be measuring up their opponents (or allies) and trying to see which path has the better chances of success.
The next important thing is trying to have good understanding of how the special KvK mechanics work.
The mechanics are:
Thermal Towers
Fog of Vision
Blizzard and Geothermal Zones
In this stage everything is still based on "guesses" and previous experience in similar games, but what is important is to have a base plan and be prepared to adapt. Organize yourself - make sure the R6 and R5 of each alliance is coordinated, informed and following the same game plan. As soon as you can, lay out a definitive plan, and use your resources and your time accordingly.
