Infinity Kingdom | Water March : From Zero to Hero (Part 2 - Back Row)

Today we continue to talk about how to build your Water March from Zero, this time going through the back row setup!

Water March is probably one of the friendliest F2P setup there is in this game thats obtainable at a fast pace, allowing you to grow in those early stages and conquer content ASAP.

However, to get an optimal Water March you need to spend (at least) 0.99$/1,09€. Here's why...

At the start of the game, with your first purchase (any purchase) you get a Free Merlin. Merlin is the key Immortal in Water Teams and after this purchase you can build him up to max completly for free - only with purple essence/gem purchases in Market!

If there's no way you can make an in-game purchase of the minimum value (just to unlock Merlin) then my suggestion is to use Cleopatra as your Mage damage dealer in the Back Row. Along this guide, if Merlin is mentioned and you can't get him just assume Cleopatra in his place.

Your First Setup with Merlin Purchase (Early Game)

Back Row : Helen of Troy + Merlin

There's a special event for new players that allows you to get plenty of Helen fragments early in the game, making sure you max her in no time. She is also obtainable in Summons and Market Shop Purchases. She makes a great pair with Merlin due to her Chill Effect Ability.

After this First Setup there is only one thing to do, replace Helen with Yoshitsune. Yoshi is obtainable via Summons, Market Shop purchases and he is also in the alliance shop (lvl 9 required). He will be your physical damage dealer and he is a key Immortal for clearing Bosses/Spiders, basically any Solo Target- Yoshi will shred it! It's jut a matter of time and you'll get him and start working on maxing him :)

Early Game Tower of Knowledge Skills

In my opinion, early in the game you want to unlock "as few skills as possible". Skills are expensive and purple essences are one of the most valuable resources in the game. Spending alot of essences in early skills that will have no use in late game marches is a big mistake, especially because the refund cost is cut down to 80%. My suggestion for the Mage back line skills is :

Meteor (Lvl 10 ToK) = Chance to deal additional magic damage Concentration (Lvl 24 ToK) = Increased Magical Damage These 2 skills, either in Helen or Merlin will boost up your damage a bit and help you clear content faster. Don't invest in meteor past lvl 3/4. You can invest in concentration, this is a skill that has plenty of play in the late game.

After these skills you want to start learning and levelling the Lvl 29 and lvl 30 skills, Toxin Nova and Fire Nova. These are also skills that see alot of play in late game, so the essences invested aren't wasted.

Once you get Yoshitsune, the skills you had on your Front Row (mentioned in Part 1 of this Guide) are transfered to him. These are Physical Damage Skills and will be great with Yoshi. Here is a print of Part 1 Guide about Physical Damage Skills in the Early Game.

Gear and Immortal Boost (Well of Time) also help alot in the development of Immortals. Keep farming gnomes, upgrading your gear and boosting your immortals to get that extra source of power. Remember, Equipment and Immortals can be "dismantled", so these things will never go to waste! :)

END NOTE : Dido is also a great Water Immortal - especially paired with Merlin, however she is much harder to obtain for a Free 2 Play player. Dido is obtainable only in King of The Hill Event and once you unlock her you can buy Daily Deal packs to get Pearls, and then obtain her Fragments with Pearls. It's very hard for a F2P to perform well in KotH in order to max out Dido in a fast way - this is why there is no actual mention of Dido in this guide.
